Default Re upgrade to 9.2.1 build 1 with an hiccup

So I decided to upgrade my box to 9.2.1 build 1 and all went quite well - except for some reason or other search engine images are blocked out!

I don't know why as I didn't have this problem before the upgrade, that's why I posted here actually.

    My system is Build: 9.2.1~svn20120328r31539release9.2-1lenny
    Kernel: 2.6.26-2-untangle-amd64

Set-up as a router with 9 of the Lite applications, [Web Filter, Virus Blocker, Spyware Blocker, Spam Blocker, Phish Blocker, Application Blocker, Firewall, Intrusion Prevention, Reports & Attack Blocker].

So if anyone else has/had this problem could they please post an help for me.

    Cheers.

    Kevin.

Take a look at event logs to see if the one of the apps is blocking the images.

Well jcoffin how right was you then!

I looked at the Web filter Lite event log, which I should have done but had an irate teenager nagging me, and was shouting out to me.

It was an earlier category I had put in which hadn't caused any bother but for some reason on this version it didn't like the ip 209.85.147.147, which is one of google's and the teenager found a proxy from there there and I had inadvertently blocked that ip as well as the proxy one in use.

So many thanks to you and dozy sod me for not doing the obvious in the first place - doh!

    Cheers.

    Kevin.

Ah, I think most teens have a loathing of Untangle including my three teens.

Untangle + Web Filter + Policy Manager + Application Control = Best set of parental controls ever devised by man.

Want that errant Teenage Girl to knock it off and calm down? Take away her Facebook, and be prepared for the 24 hours of withdrawal.

Want to piss off that errant Teenage Boy? Sit there watching reports and sessions while he's surfing porn. An adjustment here, an adjustment there, it works one moment and not the next. You can almost hear the tears via the UT UI. It's great fun. And the parents will pay you to do it!

In all seriousness, a home with Untangle Premium has all the toys in the world to contain kids online. And the money it costs to get all of that for a 10 user network isn't much over a year.

I second that. My kids HATE the level of control I have over the network with my Premium Untangle.

You may one day find something interesting here. Today is not that day. Tomorrow isn't looking too good either.
