This has probably been answered before... But out of curiosity, why does it take so long for the updates to push out? Months seems really long?

    My guess here is:

    1. Load issue on there repo.
    2. Calculated x % get the update and then they wait to see if any new issues that they them self has not found over a period and then push it to x % more.

If you want it now you can:
1 add your box to the priority list
2 backup. Download iso and install and restore.
    3. Use vrrp and another hardware to move install new version restore config and then move vrrp master to the new box.

IMHO, The rollout time really is just to maintain the health of that repo. And how long is based on how big.

v12 took ages because it was huge. Meanwhile v11 was getting security updates and whatnot so being behind the curve wasn't hurting anyone.

v12.1 took a ton less time, and I'd expect v12.1.1 to be even shorter. Honestly I'd be surprised if v12.1.1 wasn't everywhere in a couple of weeks. But Untangle can't say that, because something might happen.

Relax, wait in line, or go pull the ISO grab a backup and reinstall. Alternately you can contact support if you need one of the bugfixes in a hurry, they'll get you the update.

P.S. Dirk your warnings are getting a bit bland, I missed all the colors! And there are obviously no where near enough of them!

Well, 12.1.1 broke my PPPoE. If I go back to 12.1.0 I get it to work. I have to manually set my DNS for some reason. The obtain from peer does not work for me. I have to deselect it and manually enter. On 12.1.0 as soon as I do that, things work. 12.1.1 - no love.

    EDIT:
This is with the IMG x64 install from scratch.

I would open a support ticket and have they forward it to engineering.

What does "does not work" mean? Did the server catch on fire? Do you see something on your screen?

Does not work means it cannot connect to the internet. From a setup perspective it does not allow me to continue. I keep on going back to the screen that states an internet connection could not be established and check your settings. Once I manually add the DNS it moves on the the Untangle account login.

    Edit:

I did try it a few times using the process below:

    Start with 12.1.0
    Install 12.1.1 (IMG via USB)
    Select PPPoE
Stops - cannot connect to internet - initially setup does not allow you to customize DNS settings. Select continue anyway.
    Select Router.
Stops stating it cannot establish internet connection and to check your settings.
Use the same PPPoE username and password and now manually set DNS servers.
Still no connection even after multiple reboots of Untangle, reboots of DSL ... still no luck.
    Shutdown Untangle appliance.
    Install 12.1.0 (IMG via USB)
    Select PPPoE
Stops - cannot connect to internet - initially setup does not allow you to customize DNS settings. Select continue anyway.
    Select Router.
Stops stating it cannot establish internet connection and to check your settings.
Use the same PPPoE username and password and now manually set DNS servers.
Setup continues with Untangle account login.
    Untangle system is functional.

I did the above 3 times. No luck on 12.1.1.
