Why do you need to re-enter everything (IP, DNS etc) on the left to place the device in static mode when Configuring transparent bridge mode? Shouldn’t it lock the information on the right once you go from DHCP to static?

Is it supposed to take a long time to upgrade? Seems like it's been going on for 3 hours now, and if that's what it takes on an i5 2500K with a SSD and 4gb of ram, damn.

I get the "upgrading, don't restart the server" page with some stuff below (didn't change in all this time). Initially I tried to access with Safari mobile, but after some time I tried Edge on Win 10. Shift F5 didn't make any difference, same on Firefox.

Edit: about 7 hours later I'm guessing that it's doing an impression of James Franco in 127, and it's pretty spot on with the stuck thing. I'm going to reboot

Edit2: that did not help, before I had half assed connectivity, after I couldn't ping the Untangle box. The new kernel would just reboot, old one no connectivity. So I downloaded the image, installed, setup the wan, downloaded the most recent configuration backup.... and seriously, why was it necessary to scramble the network cards? All that stuff to reconfigure still better than the whole thing tbh

When I check for upgrade, I still see no upgrades available. I am not in the Beta, and don't intent to sign up - is this supposed to take this long to roll out? Thanks.

The answer is yes. The original estimate was completion of the upgrade roll-out by the end of August (see the first post in this topic). I have two servers and neither have been upgraded yet, so you're not alone.

A warning to others - my Untangle auto-upgraded to 14 last night. This morning no WAN. I tried a reboot, still the same issue. The PPP failed to come up. I looked at syslog and there were complaints about file ownership.

Specifically the nobody/nogroup and the world read on pap-secrets.

    drwxr-xr-x 7 nobody nogroup 4096 Aug 6 18:34 .
    drwxr-xr-x 130 nobody nogroup 12288 Aug 6 18:34 ..

    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1892 Nov 28 2014 ip-up
    drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody nogroup 4096 Aug 6 18:34 ip-up.d

    drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Nov 28 2014 ipv6-down.d
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 922 Nov 28 2014 ipv6-up
    drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Nov 28 2014 ipv6-up.d

    -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nogroup 95 Aug 6 18:34 pap-secrets
    drwxr-sr-x 2 nobody nogroup 4096 Aug 6 18:34 peers
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 50 Apr 30 04:03 resolv.conf

From the command line (as root) I did ifdown ppp0 followed by ifup ppp0. The PPP came up.

spamassassin is also in a bad way - possibly related.

FYI. My network is a 1Gbit Fibre 802.1q on vlan 10 PPPoE connection.

I'll try a reboot and see if it recovers.

It did not - I had to manually toggle ppp0 again as root.

It sounds as if we need a permissions script to fixup broken permissions, anyone know if there is an existing one?

The failed ppp0 looks like this in the logs, you can see that PPP itself authed OK with PAP. But then didn't bring the link up, so no ppp0 interface listed by ifconfig.

Good suggestion - did that. Same problem with ppp not coming up on reboot.
