I’m having a weird issue. Untangle updated last night, and the network is working fine. When I attempt to connect to the untangle appliance it says “Server is starting. Please wait....” Doesn’t matter what device I try to connect up to the server with it just keeps having that error after the login. Thought on this?

Update: Support fixed this apparently it was a weird error where the Untangle Virtual Machine wasn’t running after the update.

How long till the upgrade option shows up on the appliance?
I have automatic upgrades turned off and keep check for the upgrade to be available but it just keeps coming up “No upgrades available “

Well, hello... I just found out that my Untangle has updated itself to 14.2. I didn't even feel anything. Well done Untangle.

Which log shows when the update happened?

    Thumbs up

I really like the extra web filter categories from prior. I ended up using quite a bit rules. One rule was if web filter category was X then it is blocked unless it was kid A for example. I pretty much had to redo all the rules. I ended up losing about 1/4 as the prior filters had more categories.

Still however, very grateful for Untangle.

I am wondering the same thing. NG Firewall HomePro is on 4.1.2, with no updates available. Is there a general rollout time frame? Thanks!

It should be available to all in a couple of weeks.

    Just for my understanding.
    Why ?
Is just a technical reason ? I mean not overload the update server doing roll out in queue.
Or did you want to await some kind of feedback before roll out to all ?

    Thanks.

Yes, it's mostly this, I expect with a small dose of that normal risk mitigation you get from firms that don't have the Q/A budgets of Apple or Microsoft (and even they still make plenty of mistakes).

If you need it now for some reason get on the early upgrade que. https://forums.untangle.com/off-topi...-requests.html Or do a backup. Install the iso or image of your choice. Then restore from the backup. It may only support one previous version. So upgrade to the latest 14.1 version first. For safety I have 2 hard drives so I always can swap back if something goes wrong.
