New Application how to add?

Im trying to find a way to mark all the activity that 2 iptv devices i have in home to show as IPTV or streaming or something and i cannot find a way.

The port that this streaming devices uses is 8000 and all the traffic that pass is shown everywhere as HTTP traffic (logical because it uses a http://xxxxxxx:8000 address).

If anyone has an idea how to add this as application under streaming media i will be thankfull..

Thats probably because it *is* HTTP traffic.

IPTV isn't a protocol per say - its a name of a service. There are hundreds of ways you can stream video over IP.

If you are trying to handle it I would guess that just "port 8000" is probably sufficient.

Its fine i dont wanna "handle it" (i suppose you speak for bandwidth control and priorities and i allready done that in there and its OK), i just want in the reports to handle that traffic as something else than simple http.. thats all..

For examble in top aplications by size report i see http taking 80% of the overall traffic and i know in there the 79% is this 2 iptv devices...

I mean i wish i could define an application but i dont know how...

I give up... i mean how untangle understand this traffic which is from tune in? its http traffic in port 80 but untangle has a name for it

is this something that tunein sents and untangle understands it? the categories are hardcoded?
