    Can you post uncropped screenshots?

With this setup I would expect youtube to load, but unlikely to play videos very well.
    See docs for details.

If the goal is to block youtube you'll get better results by checking block on the applications tab.

edit: yes, just tested. For me I can load youtube.com but thumbnails don't load.
I can click on videos but they dont play.

The image size limitations of your forum software have always made it a real pain to post normal pics.

The goal is to tarpit youtube for specific clients, but it's not working, this is as simple a rule as I could make to test, this isn't the only Untangle install I'm having issues with application blocking... I was really trying to figure out where to find proof of tarpitting in the logs, but as I've illustrated I can't even block youtube.

Wow, just to test I went to the app tab and selected block youtube.... still doesn't block. I also verified there are no active bypass rules and this client is on the default profile. v 14.0.1

Beware settings only apply to new settings. If you are using chrome or firefox you need to restart the browser completely.

The best way to see the effect of rules is to see which rule matched the session by checking the application_control_ruleid column
"Rule Id (Application Control)" in the admin ui.

    OMG !!
Sorry Dirk, I applied the rule to the wrong policy. Sigh.

The rule id does match properly, thanks for that.
Does not require restarting Chrome... but I am using private.
Now I have to go back to the other UT install to figure out why tarpitting isn't working with rules for specific clients... at least that install has only the default policy. smh

    Ah cool. Makes sense.
    Thanks for update.

Beware chrome can be super aggressive about keeping sessions open. Incognito mode may force new connections but i'm not sure.
