I on my side don't believe her. I think she has managed to install hidden apps somehow.

I have set a bandwidth control and a penalty-box for the usage. Qos is set to Limited Severely (0.1) all

EDIT: I think I am in the wrong section.Attachment 10383

This seems to have an interesting lineage.

Although I am not sure it is entirely nefarious in nature, it is easy to find in 'Apps' on Android.
It also has a unique key icon while running in Android.

You will have to decide for yourself.

OMG! I find this thread tremendously frustrating because it shows there are admins who actually believe they can control an un-managed promiscuous device simply by bringing it within their protected domain without concern of risk to other digital assets. Untangle is not a solution for an accumulation of bad choices...it is however a sentinel for threats which might appear from a previously clean slate.
This thread clearly display's an ignorance of consequences unimagined with BYOD, the interweb, 3rd party apps, and platforms known for their disregard of security and privacy. We've got to do much better with our logic and reason if we're going to begin to get a handle on what ails our digital realm. The security bar is set high for a reason...now start making the hard choices and step up and meet it. D'oh!
It doesn't have to be; Welcome to Idiocracy!

Is it possible to combine the penalty-box with her laptop and smartphone? Can I block the inet complete after the use of a vpn/proxy? Somehow I cant go under 0.1% Qos.

You are going to have to figure this out for your self. Only you know:
    • What Country you are in.
    • Who your wireless carrier is.
    • how you obtained the phone.
    • if there other traffic streams that might meet this ULTRSRF signature.
    • What family link is.

In the United States, Huawei is not exactly a trusted manufacturer.

The App is readily available on the Play Store. The App can easly be removed.
It is very likely that the entity that created the App and underlying service has the capability of using it to monitor traffic.

I really don't know any more than that!
    nor am I asking questions.
    sorry.
