    And they are really going thorough the Untangle box?

    Android units will route traffic over another connection 3G/4G if it sens a Captive portal.

    There are entries within the Web Filter logs showing traffic going through the Untangle Box without an username so I can only assume that it's getting through somehow and if they were using their 3G connection the traffic would not show within the Untangle logs.

    Is the Webfilter module where you see the traffic in the same Rack as the Captive Portal?

    But Dirk has a point contact support and they will probably solve it rather quickly

    Just because Web Filter passed them does not mean that Captive Portal passed them.
    The apps operate independently.

    I would not assume they are not using 4G based purely on those entries in the event log.
