How can I secure the console from being used to change configuration?

The physical console? You still need to login on that console... did you tell the browser to save the password? Don't do that...

Are you worried about accidental access of the physical console leading to a loss of control? The answer to that is to secure the area the equipment is located in. If a user has physical access to any piece of equipment, they own it. No amount of electronic security will ever overcome that.

I didn't think I saved it but maybe; I'll check that.

I'm using it at home and my I can't very well lock my son out of the basement.
