We have many people who read those reports who should never have access to the administration interface. Please!!

Basically, for those who don't know about this old feature, there used to be the ability to create a Reporting Only logon user for the Untangle server. When they logged on, they would go directly into the reporting only. It was fantastic!
I TOTALLY agree with far182, I was just writting this when I read that. So, I sign this suggestion too.

We haven't gotten to the end of the first month, but I'm going to be very disappointed if I don't get a monthly report. The bandwidth averages are very useful for calculating needed bandwidth.

The Spam and Phishing victim reports on my two upgraded boxes show e-mail addresses that don't belong to the respective networks. Both networks are using the pop3 scanner to scan incoming mail, and yet the unit thinks there are victims that don't exist here? How is it getting these addresses?

My reports show results for the E-Soft Web Filter and the Web Filter. My Web Filter is installed, but powered down... why is it showing results?

I would like a per-ip/user break down of bandwidth consumption. We have a breakdown of stuff over port 80, but it doesn't do jack for telling me where the torrent users are, nor abusers of IM. I want to see a total of all TCP/UDP traffic from any singular host.

Then of course is the separate reports login, which if not provided via the gui, I will be doing myself via .htaccess file in the virtual directory very shortly.

I like the old days of being able to open the daily pdf and doing a search for "porn" and seeing all hits. I have tried to look at the detailed by user webfilter report in the browser, but it just says please wait and never shows anything. As for the CSV, it will not load all the data and find it hard to sort by any particular column as it won't move the data of the other columns.
The pie charts are nice, but in the long run I am just trying to find abusers on the network. just my

Default Not very useful Reports upgrade

The new pdf reports are just a summary, and the old pdf reports had everything I needed. Now I have to log in and drill down, user by user, and that takes a lot more of my time than scrolling through a pdf file. The csv files just show what's on the list on the screen, with no more detail.

On top of which, none of the drill-downs work. All I get is a green bar that says "Please Wait." For example, I click Protocol Control, then the tab that says Detection Events, then click a hyperlinked user name, and just a gray screen with the "Please Wait" bar. Same for the Web Filter.

Also not working is the Hosts reporting. Click on a name in the Host list, then click on the Web Filter, and it takes me back to the Host list, even though the top says "Report Details>Hosts>username>username:Protocol Control reports."

None too useful this new Reports module.

I apologize ahead of time if it's been stated...I'm rushed in writing this.

What I couldn't find in prior version reports (it may be there, I'm just known to be blind at times ) ...is to look at weekly and monthly reports of the web filter, see which sites are commonly being visited....double clicking the entry for those domains, and see which end user is going there.

    Definitely this.
For me, Untangle does/should do two jobs.
    1. Blocking bad stuff (and telling me about it)
    2. Monitoring bandwidth usage in total and per user

A third job of bandwidth throttling when usage goes above a specified limit would be fantastic.
Something similar to that which ISP's use - for example, this is Virgin Media's traffic management.

Perhaps another mod would to to the "Include Incident Reports in emailed reports" functionality allowing it to be based per email address specifiend, ie, I would like to recieve two daily reports, ie, one with Incident Reports included, one without so I'd like to be able to enter my email address twice and only on one of them have the "Include Incident Reports in emailed reports" checkbox ticked.

My problem with the reports is I used to email the Detailed PDF report to my customers so they could go through it...now they would have to log in to the box to get detailed reports,

The reports are nicely put together but a detailed PDF report like the old ones in 6.2 would be a great addition
