I have a fresh install of UT 7.0 And we are experiencing the same as far as the "apt-get update" goes, which was discover while attempting to following the steps to install vmware tools . Is this an official bug, and/or are there any workarounds?

    Red face

I get the same message when trying to run apt-get update and it ends with:
    Reading package lists...
W: Conflicting distribution: http://updates.untangle.com stable Release (expected stable but got dart)
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

Running apt-get update obviously does not fix it.

My apt.log contains the failed apt-get updates over and over.....

the GUI for UT for system info says:
    Summary:
    UID: dc50-9081-d2cf-2872
    Build: 7.0.0~svn20090924r24591release7.0-1lenny

    Java: 1.6.0_12

This is a 6.2 box that upgraded to 7.0 this last weekend.

My Receive rate in around 130KB/sec nearly continually (at least when I look)

I noticed a problem when I tried to do:
    apt-get install mrtg
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    E: Couldn't find package mrtg

I am not running the pro package because I have had nothing but trouble getting things working the way I want. I am testing this at home before I try to introduce it at work. If I can figure all this out, I will get my company to subscribe, but I am afraid to put it in production......debian/ubuntu is so strange to me (RedHat/Fedora Core for over 10 years).

I have only seen one 7.0 report, and I think it looks very "managerial", i.e. useful for showing to the boss. I personally perfer more detail...maybe there is a way to get more.....another time for that, though. I need to be able to update this machine or it has to come offline. I also need MRTG on it.

Oh and the monit.log has a BUNCH of this:

uvm.log has a bunch of java exceptions and a couple of these:
14 23:38:33.265 WARN [ThreadPoolAsynchronousRunner] com.mchange.v2.async.ThreadPoolAsynchronousRunner$DeadlockDetector@c60547 -- APPARENT DEADLOCK!!! Creating emergency threads for unassigned pending tasks!

I think this box is totally hosed!

    Any advice would be appreciated.
