    Default IPSEC is coming!!

    Got a update today
"Okay boys and girls... ask and you shall receive. The new Untangle IPsec VPN service will be available for testing in the 9.0 alpha scheduled for release...
like today or something. Under the hood we're leveraging Openswan with the integrated NETKEY kernel driver, and initially we're only supporting authentication using pre-shared keys."

    Anyone testing 9 Alpha?

The Alpha is not out yet. PM me if you're interested in early testing it.

Sweet! Hopefully it will also ditch the "server/client" shortcoming of the OpenDNS setup....where one UT box can only be one, or the other, but not both.

I would like to test this if possible.. I am trying to replace my old SonicWALL Pro 2040 with Untangle. I need to setup an IPSEC VPN between my Untangle box and my employers SonicWALL.

Get the beta out of the testing area and go for it. It's public now.
