Thought I would share this, as it happened this morning and took way longer to sort out than it should have.

I was adding an ip address in the web filter passed ip's section and inadvertantly typed the last octet as 354 instead of 254. This error went undetected as UT never tossed up any warning. This action began to block ALL HTTP addresses for the ENTIRE network and only HTTPS traffic was being passed.

The Untangle box is a wonderful thing, but sometimes, a simple error can bring your network to it's knees.

I dunno if the UT engineers will correct this and have UT throw a message when fat fingers go awry, but hopefully, putting it here will allow Google searches to find it.
