How can I set up a new Paypal billing agreement?

I had some issues with Untangle and was going to move away from it, so I cancelled the Paypal billing agreement.

Long story short.. I ended up doing about my 4th reinstall of Untangle and all seems ok now.

However, I asked in support ticket about the Paypal billing agreement and didn't really get a proper answer.

So.. how can I reinstate Paypal? If I use a credit or debit card, then my bank charges me a foreign currency fee.

I presume it needs some manual intervention your end, because I cannot pay the invoice by Paypal at the moment.

Login to paypal and then go to:
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...manage-paylist

You should there see status for your preapproved payments.

Then logon to your untangle store account.
From Dashboard go to "Billing Information" and then click "Edit"
Then you should be able to add/recreate the Paypal connection.

You can also go to a Reseller/partner and get help.

Actually, he can't go to a partner. The Home sub isn't available to resellers.

I can't recreate the Paypal payment. It just tells me that Paypal is already the default payment type.

However, because I cancelled the agreement, the payment has been declined.

That's what I am attempting to sort out, but a support ticket got me nowhere, and an email to sales has got me nowhere...

I think what I did when I had the same issue was switching to credit card and then switch back to paypal.

And I did not read closely to verify that it was a Home license so you can't go through a partner. :-(

Yeah, I can do that but was trying to avoid the foreign purchase fee for using a card - it's not the amount it's the principle.

I just need the Paypal agreement removing at the Untangle end.

Nothing will be charged on your credit card if you swap to Paypal again directly after.

So I don't say that you should put the amount on your card just change payment to credit card and then you should be able to change to a paypal method and then reconnect to your paypal account.
