    Default VRRP Load Sharing

Is it just me and my clients that would love to add Load Sharing to the VRRP?

Or could one just do a load of 50/50 today?
    Anyone that have tested?

VRRP works by claiming the "VRRP IP" by using ARP so I see no way to do this.

    https://www.juniper.net/documentatio...d-sharing.html

If one could create vrrp groups one could assigne a few ips to have a higher score on the other host and fail back to the normal master.

Thats just setting the default gateway of some of your network to A and some of your network to B.
Its not really related to VRRP, they're just using VRRP to provide the redundancy.

If you want to do that you can, but it requires two interfaces.

edit: Actually I don't think it will work because all VRRPs are grouped.

If one could add more then one VRRP ID per interface I would be able to do what I want/need.

For HA/Load Balanced MX/SPAM wash cluser
    UT1:
    1.1.1.1 (VRRP ID 1 Priority 100)
    1.1.1.2 (VRRP ID 2 Priority 50)

    UT2:
    1.1.1.2 (VRRP ID 1 Priority 100)
    1.1.1.1 (VRRP ID 2 Priority 50)

Then have MX1 Point to 1.1.1.1 and MX2 to 1.1.1.2.
And have MX score same on both that would do a sort of Load Balancing.

Or just use round-robin dns values

Even if you could get the load balancing to work... how would the logs work? And if you implement so that a single client might end up at different Untangle hosts, how would features like quotas work?

I have to explain it a bit more :-)

Our goal is to have Services public to the internet in some sort of Load Balancing. (Untangle might not be the one that do the balancing) but we would still like to have traffic going through both units. (And we want to be able to scale to more servers if need)

Logs will be pushed to a central server that will import the csv files form all hosts. (And internal user traffic will not go over this setup just server)

Quotas is not used here and I agree not every one want this and not all features in Untangle will benefit from it. (Until we get a configuration sync feature)

You may want to look at HAProxy

The issue right now is that we are hitting limits in the untangle box and both me and the client dose not want to switch solution.

I would be ok if one could switch master when load >5 or something.

So Per unit set VRRP Priority to on both High load and low load.

UT1: Low Load VRRP Priority 200 High Load VRRP Priority 30
UT2: Low Load VRRP Priority 190 High Load VRRP Priority 20
UT3: Low Load VRRP Priority 180 High Load VRRP Priority 10

That way it would be possible to have your website/email extremely redundant.
