    Default Reports filter in hiding

The simple search filter present in Reports, has accepted the search term of '123' and gobbled it up.

It now applies to all reports, so most of them end up empty, even though you can see blocked sessions in the pie chart.

At this point, I don't know in which report it was entered. I don't know where I navigated to (without manually clearing it).

    refreshing the browser didn't help
powering-down reports and back up didn't clear it.
log off / log on didn't clear it.

I have seen this for some time, but it has never bothered me enough to track it down.
I happen to be on v15.0

I suspect a reboot will 'fix it', but I will wait until I give support a shot at it.

    HAH.

There was a clue in one of those posts - I logged out from Chrome
    And logged in from Firefox.
All report rows are back, filter cleared!

In Safari (an older version, 13.1) the search field stays populated so it can be cleared in any report. But I dunno...

The fancier the plumbing, the more the leaks.

it usually does in chrome, but then I navigate to some obscure corner...

This bug is kinda like a cockroach.

JavaScript libraries are kludges. Cool and interesting kludges, but still kludges.

Ok, this is now reproducible in v15.0

Click on Sessions, top navigation bar
Enter an IP address to narrow down the number of rows.
Click on Hosts, filter has no effect
Click on Sessions the filter box is blank but the filter is still in effect.
A band-aid is to enter anything else in to the blank Filter box, and clear that filter with the [X]

This happens on Chrome and Firefox in Windows.
I will have a ticket pulled this week.

In trying to troubleshoot that Port Forward issue I'm having I noticed similar things with the filters. Again, it might just be my installation, but on the Sessions tab, entering the name of an interface or policy brings up nothing. I know you can sort and group on these columns, but just thought it was weird you couldn't use them in the filter box too.

This happens on other screens where those columns are too eg interface on the Devices tab.

Or is it just me?... Again

In regards to this, you have to use the reference ID #. When that is a single digit number, it returns: everything.

In the case of a VLAN interface, it generally works OK, but length(3) is still a short string.

It is a limitation of the filter mechanism. And in reports other than those on the main navigation bar, the [Conditions:] tool is much more useful for the columns that you mentioned, where it is present.
