    Default Automate Firewall Ban Rule

    Hi,

I took a look about my needs on the forum but I didn’t find my answer.
I saw there is API but I’m not a programmer.
I’m using splunk in order to monitor the connection on my SFTP, Reverse-Proxy and more.
So I would like to ban theses bad IPs flagged automatically in Untangle. So I would like to know if I could use a list and a command line in order to create a rule or edit one.

    Thanks.

    Hi Tegoa,

Take a look at Untangles Events handeling.

It's not supported, but look at the test automation in https://github.com/untangle/ngfw_src...st_firewall.py

Perhaps triggers are similar to warning rules, but instead of warning and when something interesting happens, trigger rules can be marked as a specific host.

Yeah the best option I have for this is to use fail2ban on each endpoint. There really isn't a good way to aggregate those bans into a central firewall though.
