Issues with 7 and Virtual machines

this holds for ESXi 3.5, virtualbox, and citrix Xenserver:
I keep having trouble testing connectivity, getting DHCP, and saving local network settings - all during install.

I am confused... and it keeps me from getting past install. I watch it sit at "please wait, saving internal network settings" for 5 minutes or so, then error message.

EDIT: if I close the browser, and restart it, I can use it, and it seems OK. just a problem in the install.

I'm not getting any of this from ESXi 4.0. You need ESXi 4.0 for proper support of Debian 5.

I tried using 4.0, but they have removed support for all of my older network cards (they're 3com), so it won't install. I have an intel 4 port gigabit card on the way that should work.
