The fundamental problem with Untangle: Hardware Compatibility

I thnk I'm running my untangle on a dell r200 possibly with 2 on board nics + a dual intel card.

I have a clients main office in NYC....back when the R200 first came out, I had them get one and I installed Untangle on it back then..was probably around version 5.4 or so. It's runs great on that rig, just a Intel Dual Core, 2 gigs, the default Broadcom NICs, they're on a 15/2 pipe and a VPN tunnel to a brand office.

You need to find another reseller... that price is ludicrous for a unit that can handle 50 users no matter what the load.

Lol, indeed! For that price I can custom build myself a Dell server with dual processors and a crap-ton of RAM that will function just with with Untangle.....and still have a lot of money left over.

Actually if you read my post carefully I said at this time we cant afford an appliance, which some I've gotten a quote for anywhere from $10,000 to $25,000. .

Yeah... the 6000 user server I have in service didn't cost half of the low end of that... Including the Untangle license. Someone be fibbing...
