Decided to investigate this server as it seemed like an attractive option. I found one "gotcha" that does not seem right - even though I verified it on the Supermicro site.

CPU support - Intel® Xeon® processor E3-1200 family, Intel® 2nd Generation Core i3 & Intel® Pentium® family processors
Socket H2 (LGA 1155)
Note: supports CPUs with max. TDP ≤ 45 Watts

I assume that means only TDP < 45 watts. A quick look for processors that meet that criteria provides a very short list. I would want to check this out before plunking down my money and having a very limited CPU selection.

FWIW, I have been running a couple of the earlier model to this Asus server and they have been great. Reliable, relatively quick, complete package and very quiet. However, I have been running Windows 2008 R2 and not Untangle.
