Default Linksys WRT1900ACSv2 reverting to stock FW

Hi folks, does anybody try to put this router back to stock using JTAG?
Or is there any other way how to do that?
I have found some YT videos to unbrick, but these are for the 1900AC and am not sure if it will also work with the 1900ACS.

I too would like to know as the wiki page says to use the Linksys tftp utility which doesn't work and I'm trying to get back to Stock or DD-WRT

You can use the serial console with a USB tty adapter and boot into uboot.

Alternatively, you can flash from the command line. Upload the try you want to flash and then do:

    dd if=foobar.trx of=/dev/mtdblock2 bs=1M
    dd if=foobar.trx of=/dev/mtdblock4 bs=1M

You have to flash to both mtdblock2 and mtdblock4 because the linksys has two partitions.

    Thanks

Umm, how do I access via command line and upload the file?

Edit - Managed to get in via ssh. Now to upload the file... (I'm useless with Linux)

Think I've managed to upload the file. Now getting operand unrecognized for the command

    Uploaded file to:

    c:\pscp c:\FW_WRT1900ACS.trx root@192.168.1.1:\dev

Then I assume the file should say: dd if=WRT_1900ACS.trx of/dev/mtdblock2 bs=1M
    dd: unrecognized operand 'ofdevmtdblock2'

Nope. I can't get it to work. Linux commands make no sense.

Thanks. I'm one step closer to enlightenment.

It just doesn't like the file uploading now

dd: failed to open '/dev/FW_WRT1900ACS.trx': No such file or directory

    or
dd: failed to open 'FW_WRT1900ACS.trx': No such file or directory

I assume my pscp command is junk

"\dev" no idea what this would mean.

put it in your home directory or in /tmp/ or something
    use the full path.

    /tmp/blah.trx
    if=/tmp/blah.trx
