Default Linksys WRT1900ACS + WRT3200ACM compatible with Firmware

    Hello,

Please let me know if the following Lunksys models WRT1900ACS + WRT3200ACM work with Untangle firmware. Both routers features mention OpenSource compatible. They cost the same as the 1900AC in the Linksys refurbish store.

    Thanks,

the WRT1900ACS is the only supported model.

The WRT3200ACM and WRT1900AC will not work.

    Hello,

Thanks for the response. I have 4 other questions.
    1) Which is the paid anti virus that is used in the firmware version.
    2) Can it handle paid anti virus, web filtering, ad filtering at 150mbps (have a 200/20mbps cable modem connection)
    3) Can it pass video streaming, Roku TV, Amazon Firestick, Ohitalk VoIP.
    4) From the diagram in https://wiki.untangle.com/index.php/Linksys_WRT1900ACS,
The Firmware USB goes into the USB 3.0 port (blue)
The Disk image USB goes into USB 2.0/eSATA port (black)

Have tested tUntangle on VirutalBox and it works great, just need to see if it would meet my needs in the Firmware/WRT1900ACS vs buying a Zotac mini PC with Intel N3450 and Dual NIC.

Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.

    1) it uses our cloud av scanner, which is backed by a variety of sources
    2) yes
    3) yes, thats all just network traffic. if you don't want that stuff scanned or treated specially just "bypass" it
    4) the firmware is flashed on to the device itself. the disk/usb goes into the usb slot.

I thought there was a beta firmware for wrt3200acm? I even downloaded it. Not tried yet but now I'm afraid to try if it is not supported.

I can run the wrt1900acs images on a wrt3200acm, but the wifi doesn't work.
We have a working wrt3200acm build, but the wifi drivers take too much memory so the system does not operate smoothly.

Does that mean Untangle will not develop anything for the WRT3200ACM or WRT32x (same router) or does that mean it will just take more time to figure out?

If linksys or the open source community releases drivers that require less memory, we will release a wrt3200acm build.

So if I do not need wifi, I can use the WRT3200ACM? What about the WRT1900AC?
I'm using other product for wifi so only need router with untangle.

    Thank you.

Which drivers were you testing with? It looks like there's been an update on 10/11 from mwlwifi - https://github.com/kaloz/mwlwifi/com...re/88W8964.bin
