    I'm not sure - it never happend before and client computers have problems loading pages and getting odd errors like: you're using an outdated version of Chrome

    There’s no direct, cause-effect relationship to Java usage on Untangle and anything going on with Chrome or general going’s on with Web traffic. There’s no connection between Untangle’s Java and JavaScript, for instance. If that were my box, I’d contact support.

    Java is to javascript as ham is to hamster.

    This could also be caused by something like a bittorrent client or three creating a massive number of sessions faster than your system is able to process them.
