Default U25xw stuck in emergency mode

Everything is working fine and then my APC UPS! I replaced the battery and noticed odd things, so I hooked up a monitor and keyboard to see that the u25xw is stuck in emergency mode. Running journalctl -xb is a total waste of time, nothing useful as to why it is dumping.

Running Fsck tells me the drive is clean.

    HELP!

What is emergency mode? What do you see on the screen?

I suspect the modification to the file system did not help.

It is in command line mode. I found that the swap was corrupted -- very odd. I commented the mount out in the /etc/fstab and then it booted -- after booting I was about to mount swap -- and has now been able to reboot without issues. The GUI boot mode looks pretty but without the text I never would have found any of this. Thank goodness I know Linux.

actually the modified file system has save me from a full disk! So No that part as just fine. Swap for some reason just got confused. All it wanted was clean boot. All the "file systems" were "clean".

BTW which kernal should the system be booting from? The grub boot shows two:
Untangle 4.9.0.7 and Untangle 3.16.0.4 and it looks like 3 is the default??
