    Default My Hardware Qotom-Q515G6

I just want to give the untangle community another cheap($258) and easy hardware solution. It is the Qotom-Q515G6 Intel Celeron 3865U 1.8Ghz Kabylake Soc AES-NI, 8G DDR4 Ram, 256G Msata Ssd, 6 Intel Gigabit Nic. I am new to Untangle and I have been running Untangle on this hardware for just over two weeks now. I have a lot of applications running and this device seems to handle them all without any problem. The only caveat I have is that my internet is only 60 down and 6 up, so I can't tell you how this would work with high throughput. I have the following running:
    Web Filter
    Virus Blocker Lite
    Bandwidth control
    SSL inspector
    Application Control
    Captive Portal
    Firewall
    Ad Blocker
    Reports
    Policy Manager
    Directory Connector
IPsecVPN. It is running, but I have not actually used this yet
    Intrusion Prevention
    Configuration Backup

Here is a link to where I purchased it from for $258
    ... I can't post a link

This is being used in a large family home and the most devices we have had on at one time was around 20. I would say that we are heavy internet users with streaming, VOIP, gaming, and just about everything else we use about a terabyte of data each month. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I've been using a Thin Mini PC with Intel Celeron j1900 processor onboard, quad core 2.42 GHz, 8GB RAM 64GB SSD, dual LAN model. No idea what the actual model number is, with the same programs you're using, except ipsec, with no issues. I had 50+ known devices and I went through and trimmed them down, mainly friends that had come over and accessed the guest vlan. I do have a usb powered fan blowing on it as I wasn't sure if it would get to warm in the rack.

Iím using a Qotom i3 box with 4GB of RAM and a 32GB MSATA Drive; it barely breaks a sweat with multiple VPN and most apps enabled.

I just purchased one of these boxes as well. Whats your RAM usage like? I purchased mine with 4GB instead of 8GB. I don't plan on doing any WAN trunking, just the usual web filtering, VPN tunnel / open VPN etc...

4GB is plenty for average users, even with IPS and all common apps enabled.

ram usage is just over 3 GB with three policies and vpn running.
I was going to use 4 GB ram but I had a spare 8 GB stick left over from a laptop upgrade so used that instead..

Yeah so for my use case the 4300y is way overkill! 4GB of RAM is also plenty - currently sitting on 1.6GB used.
