Default Using spare NIC ports as a switch.

If I have a J1900 system with 4 ethernet ports where port 1 is WAN and Port 2 is Lan1. Can I convert ports 3 and 4 into switch ports off Lan1 ?

Yes, configure the other interfaces as bridged to LAN 1

Note, they are expensive as switch ports... you may considering putting in a bypass rule for anything sourced from your LAN address range, and destined to your LAN address range.

Unless you want full UVM filtration of LAN traffic, and the performance headache it causes.

Thanks Guys that worked. It just for a remote Lab at a Medical Clinic. Saves the need for a switch for a few machines that need 24/7 monitoring..
