Default Untangle 15 and Athlon 200ge

Install of Untangle was a bit of a challenge (mostly bios settings), but it finally did boot to the expected start screen.
Really didn't expect this ancient kernel to haul the mail, so my congratulations to the code gnomes.

    Motherboard: Asus Prime A320I-K

    Memory: Geil DDR4 2400@2666

    SSD: SanDisk SSD Plus 120GB

Power Supply: FSP Mini ITX 300 Watt

Case: Recycled Acer Aspire X1430 (from the local thrift shop)

    Graphics: Integrated Vega 3

Hope this helps with your anticipated upgrade plans.

My cable is 200 Mbs, so no stress anticipated.

    Talking Welcome!

... to Untangle, and the forums!

    We appreciate the feedback!

btw, how much of that memory did you pop in there?

Thank you for the info, I'm looking at the AMD option too as the TDP is nice and low. Looking to replace a Unifi UDM-Pro as getting fed up with them. Customers are essentially beta testers for the product. Unifi switch and APs are nice, routing not so.

Did run Untangle briefly as a VM when testing with pfsense, I used pfsense in the end.

Circa 30+ devices at home, 4 VLANs etc /28 networks, Raspberry pi for pihole and such

Thanks for this! Out of curiosity, what did you have to change in the bios to get Untangle to install? Thanks in advance!

Untangle v15.1 will be based on Debian 10, which is far more modern but still probably not quite modern enough to fully support Ryzen.

So careful, on upgrade to the new kernel stuff is going to change. Hopefully largely for the better, but beware dragons.
