I was using it in bridge and going to switch to router with unifi cloud key soon. I'm confident the D-1541 will be able to push 1gb, was hoping to find something a bit cheaper. I went from 940/940 1ms to high 800's 2ms in bridge. If I disconnect untangle and all other things the same speed pops back up and drops to 1ms.
I tried in HyperV and introduced latency and I personally couldn't figure out how to trunk vlans and have it work seamlessly. That is due to my lack of abilities.
Ultimately looking for a cheaper set-up that will support 1gbs symmetrically with minimal additional latency.

Use Untangle as your main router, then your speed will increase.
