    Default Dual Channel RAM and CPU Hyperthreading

    Hi, I'm new to Untangle and I was wondering if Untangle supports dual channel memory and CPU hyperthreading. I am trying to decide on some hardware for it and didn't want to get 2 sticks of RAM if dual channel isn't supported. Also, same thing for the CPU, I don't want to spend more on a CPU that has hyperthreading if all Untangle can make use of are the physical cores.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ed

    It was just asked in support. UT is based on Debian 10 and Debian 10 which does support dual channel and hyperthreading.

    CPU = Latency
    RAM = Throughput

    Untangle is highly threaded, so the more cores you throw at it, virtual or otherwise the better off you are. RAM volume matters more than performance though.
