    Default SuperMicro E300-9D-4CN8TP

    Dear friends,
Just wanted to share new installation with Supermicro E300-9D-4CN8TP
All UEFI boot, 16GB RAM, 256 NvME, all interfaces detected.
The screw for the power plug is an excellent idea. BIOS has setting for auto power on and headless setup.

A bit difficult to source Supermicro devices in Greece, had to buy from Germany

It should be bare metal. NOT virtualized. AKA dedicate the whole box to Untangle.

Op's post with the pics show it has SFP+ ports WIN WIN !!!!

Hi, yes, all bare metal dedicated to Untangle. Installation via IPMI with ISO virtual mount.
IMPI supports both Java and HTML5 remote control.
Indeed, device has two SFP ports, all recognized by UT.

The lockable PIN of the external PSU brick is a great idea. This device is intended for maritime use (firewall VSAT on a commercial bulk carrier ship) and these little details make it ideal.
This, along with my Synology DS1821+, are the sexiest IT devices ever bought.

P.S I wonder why forum mod edited my post and deleted pics?
