Hi just an update the interface appeared to be faulty however when I tried the new interface I got the same problem in which my interface suddenly gets removed and it's not detected via the UT's UI. After rebooting several times UT detected the nic again. I have a feeling that doing a modprobe would have worked aswell but I didn't know my nic's kernel module name.
Anyways I got the UT up and running now. I just experienced some problems in which changes to the interface's configurations in UT didn't take, but after a while they finally took.
