Default Untangle 6.2 / Realtek r8168 Ethernet Drivers

    Hello,
I've installed Untangle on an Asus M3A78-CM MB and the install loads an r8169 module which does not work. I have the driver files.. r8168-8.012.00. I was able to load them following the included 'readme' on an Elastix install based on CentOS a few weeks ago... same motherboard....no problems. It also loaded the r8169 module during install.

I've tried several of the procedures out there and nothing works. The Jamesonwilliams script solution returns an error "You need to install package linux-headers-2.6.26-1-untangle-686. Any help anyone could provide to get me pointed in the right direction would be much appreciated.

    Default Success

I was able to get the r8168 driver module loaded:
    1. Set one of the other working nics as Wan....then the following....

    2. Install make and gcc

    apt-get update
    apt-get install make
    apt-get install gcc

    2. Install kernel souces

    apt-get install linux-kbuild-2.6.26
    apt-get install linux-headers-2.6.26-1-untangle-686

Then executed the Jamesonwilliams.com script per his instructions.
Came up fine after reboot as well.
