Installation Questions

Hi all,

I have been using Untangle for quite sometime already and have deployed several installations too.

Recently I bought a license for 50 users for RAP, KAS, Web Balancer, Web Failover.

Here are my questions:

• KAS, why am I not seeing any transaction from KAS? But for ClamAV, during client browsing, it's checking the transaction. I removed ClamAV as I was thinking that it is overriding KAS, but to no avail. In report, nothing is also coming up.
  
• Web Balancer - My server have 4 nics and all where detected properly during the installation. Its EXTERNAL, INTERNAL, DMZ and ETH3. During my installation, I only have a single WAN so I used the external deisgnated NIC. Now I have my 2nd WAN and I want to use ETH3 for it, but the WAN Failover only gives my the EXTERNAL option, not even the DMZ nic. I will have a DMZ soon, so I really cannot use it. My only option is ETH3 but its not being detected by Wan Failover module. Is there something that I missed?

You will need to run the patch for the WAN issue.

My understanding is that incoming data is inspected and routed to one AV scanner, Kaspersky, or both.

Thank you for the reply.

That is also my understanding, but I only have Kaspersky and nothing seems to be happening or nothing seems to be scanned by Kaspersky. Looking at the event logs of Kaspersky module, it's not showing anything at all.

Am I just missing something?

Hi gotkimchi! :-)

I applied the patch from the link you have given, and restarted my untangle box, but still, the only option I have in my failover section is the EXTERNAL nic.

Im I still missing something?

Hi have you markt the other nics as WAN?

Config>Networking. Then Advanced (if you havent activeted it)
Then go to the interface tab.
GO in to the nic you wan't to be a wan and check the "Is wan inteface" box.

Hi WebFool, yup! the NICs are marked as WAN interface. :-)

But still no dice.
