Default 7.0 Beta now available for download

    Exciting news!

The long awaited new reporting infrastructure is here! Along with many other awesome features.

You can read the changelog here:
    http://wiki.untangle.com/index.php/7.0_Changelog

    Current known major issues:
downloading the csv file for some event tables isn't working

    Things to test:
Please play with the new reports. If you find things that are broken or confusing let us know.
One thing to be careful is that the 24-hour graphs are averaged over 7 days exactly like the old reports. This means that they won't always match the min/max stats on the right because those are max of all seven days while the graph shows the average.
Multi-WAN has lots of fixes and improvements as well - for those of you waiting on these please give them a go if you can.

Always would love any other feedback!

edit: now available the 7.0 release candidate 1

Thanks for this exciting post and I have a question. Will this beta version be able to be upgraded to the non-beta version coming out in a couple weeks I suspect? So that beta users don't have to reinstall the actual 7.0 again...

Of course the answer is maybe. Usually all intermediate versions are upgradeable unless we do a schema change in the daily build cycle of a release. This is a late beta so it's highly probable that it will upgrade to the finally version.

another thing worth testing - for those of you who had servers that had video issues with the 6.2 installer - please give this a try and let us know if its any different.
(Also try the new "video safe" mode)

Sorry about that, I am just overjoyed to see the latest edition of the UT arsenal.

By any chance does this version use a newer kernel? possibly one without the botched e1000e driver?

Debian themselves haven't fixed it in Lenny.... it is fixed in squeeze... so I'm afraid we're stuck waiting on the next Debian to fix that one.
