v7 - DHCP - clients not getting IP's?

So i have this new issue it seems with a v7 fresh install, which i have reinstalled 4 times now.

i get v7 installed, but it seems my Vista x64 SP2 or even Win 7 x64 machines sit there on identifying network until they just set a 169. IP, i have to manually set an IP to connect to the box.


This seems weird as 6.2 didn't have this issue, system worked fine and connected fine, so do my other routers, a netgear, a watchguard 550e, the systems pick up IP's fine.

I have also tried 2 different switches that i know work fine.

i have tried 3 diff networks cards in the untangle box all with the same result, i have reboot/uninstalled the NIC's on the systems i tried it on as well, but no go

Is there any known issue with DHCP not dishing out IP's?

and yes, i do have DHCP turned on and address range set.

have you verified your interfaces are not backwards?

what is your network layout? bridge or router?

if you plug in a laptop directly does it get an address?

Ya, cables were right, connected each adn refreshed in the network / interfaces a few times to make sure i wasnt losing my mind, router mode

didn't try a computer directly in (but will remember that for next time if it happens), but i did reinstall again, and now it is serving them out okay it seems to the 3 computers i have tested so far

Maybe untangle is picky with D-Link PCIe 1x nics....?

That wouldn't be untangle, that would be Debian... but yeah. The only thing that has consistently caused DHCP issues in the past is incompatible nics.
