Default 7.1 Beta is now available

    http://www.untangle.com/download/untangle_710_beta.iso

Exciting news! 7.1 has many of the features many have been waiting for.
    • Enhanced reports
    • Incident logs in email,
    • Report only user accounts
    • Ad Blocker stats
    • Policy manager session and bandwidth added to reports
    • Re-Router (Single NIC feature) for ISO install (similar to Untangle for Windows)
    • Unified setting button logic (OK, Cancel, Apply)
    • Inherited multi-rack management
    • Password bypass for eSoft web filter
    • Simplified Port forwarding

    Feedback we are interested in:
    • Please let us know if there are network configurations not supported.
    • Any policy manager configuration which do not act as expected.
    • Port forward or bypass scenarios which behave differently than 7.0.1.
    • Reporting issues and email report issues.
    • Any use of the single NIC configuration.

    Some caveats
    - Sorry, no upgrade path at this time as upgrade testing is still in process.
    - Block page could be blank if webfilter and esoft are both installed.
    - Reset to Factory Defaults results in an incorrect sources.list

7.1 supports USB NICs!!!! I am setting up a mini itx/intel atom machine with 7.1 and it is going well. I have two nics, my onboard is my internal and my USB nic is the external. Right now it is in bridge mode to keep my network up while I get some things set up but it will be my router soon.

I'll keep you posted on how things go. I like the port fowarding in this version, very easy that any rookie can get it setup, thanks!

7.1 is the same kernel as 7.0.1, there are no hardware support changes...

I don't know what to say. It works. I am running 7.1 with an onboard nic and a usb nic. All my stuff works!! I'm running as a router and it all just works!!!

If you install on a box with only one NIC, the installer will switch to single NIC mode.
