Email reports never worked for me in the past. The screenshot of the gmail settings work great. Get a gmail account and do that.

Ok, i have the same problem. Every config i make is not sending the TEST messages.

I have tried the provider SMTP, Gmail SMTP and i did not get the test messages.
I have checked my email server to see if the message is not marked as SPAM and no it is not coming in.
    smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
    Use Authentication: Yes
    Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
    Port for SSL: 465

    Running,
    have you read http://forums.untangle.com/reports/1...iling-you.html ?

In that case look closely at the image on the Gmail settings..
    And then try with them...

OK, after fiddling around with this in my test machine (originally I followed gmail's instructions), I had to use port 587, and the server was gmail-smtp.l.google.com, when I tried smtp.gmail.com I got nothing, but when I did change the server to the gmail-smtp one it worked just fine. I even tried it with my untangle@mydomain.com and it came through to all test accounts/email addresses.

I dont think it is a bug in UT, but I know I have used the smtp.gmail.com with desktops and it has worked, so not sure why the issue with the UT software.

I am glad it is working for you.

If you don't have an email server inhouse, you shouldn't have to even set a smarthost, just have the Untangle email out directly.
