    Default Installing to USB memmory?

    Hello!

Is it possible to install Untangle to a 4GB usb memmory? I dont want any logging that requires space etc. I just want to run basic Untangle with Ad Blocker, Web Filter and Spyware Blocker. This is for home use with 3-5 PC:s.

I dont care about USB degrading either as I got a few USB flashes.

    Thanks.

if you can mount it as a hard drive during the install it might work, all though I think you would have better luck with 8gb. I really dont see it working well though, im not sure but I dont think your the first person to try. I dont think anyone else had any success.

Untangle has a minimum of 40gb required for storage. 80gb if you want to actually use the thing. USB sticks aren't supported due to the way the kernel references them. You can isntall Untangle to a CF Card/IDE adapter if you get a large enough card. To be honest you'll save money with a solid state hard drive.

Thanks for the answer. By the way, I run Untangle on 10gb IDE HDD right now. Works well just a bit loud.

It will work just fine up until you install the reports module.
