Red face Upgrade problem 7.2 to 7.3.1

    Dmorris,

This is the output of the commands

    kroot@untangle# ~ # /usr/sbin/a2dissite default [root @ untangle]
    Site default disabled.
Run '/etc/init.d/apache2 reload' to activate new configuration!
    kroot@untangle# ~ # /etc/init.d/apache2 reload [root @ untangle]
    * Reloading web server config apache2 apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using untangle.example.com for ServerName
[Thu Jun 24 06:00:30 2010] [warn] NameVirtualHost *:80 has no VirtualHosts
    [ OK ]
    kroot@untangle# ~ # /usr/sbin/a2ensite uvm [root @ untangle]
    Site uvm already enabled
    kroot@untangle# ~ # /etc/init.d/apache2 restart [root @ untangle]
    * Restarting web server apache2 apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using untangle.example.com for ServerName
[Thu Jun 24 06:01:02 2010] [warn] NameVirtualHost *:80 has no VirtualHosts

But still the same output, still upgrading. How do I stop it or in the meantime
ad rules via terminal while finding a solution. Tks

wow - even when you ran those two commands it still says "upgrading"?!

the upgrade is complete - as to why its showing that screen is the mystery.

try clearing your cache. can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing?
are you viewing this from the local console?

    Dmorris,

I am connecting from remote but even if you look from the server it still shows the same.
Will try clearing the cache and see what happens

    Dmorris,

I ran apt-get clean and the RAM cache. Still the same. What else should I do?

Ok now I tried the following on the server console itself:

    1) Factory settings reset
    2) GOt a backup last April (where everything worked) loaded that
    and got a successful restore.
    3) Restarted the machine for good measure
    4) url with webui still show below.....

    5) url only goes to setup screen but just continues saving when administrator password is asked.

As far as I can check my settings for the box (ip rules etc) have not changed.

Could this be a hardware issue now? Any other ideas? I am at wits end and plan
to just replace the hard disk tom?

Try clearing your *browser's cache*, and refreshing the page.

Step 5) seems to indicate you get the login page, so it'd seem you have a totally different problem altogether now, right ?

    Cheers,
