That usually means the DNS resolution of Untangle isn't working. Verify your external interface has proper DNS numbers.

I reset my UT box to factory defaults. Then went through the set up wizard again, this time using DHCP for external connection with another router taking care of the PPPoE temporarily. It is at the moment downloading packages and I will reconfigure it afterwards to take care of PPPoE.

    Thanks for your help

Frankly, you're better off having something else manage the PPPoE. I would place the upstream device in bridged mode with it handling the PPPoE login.

Better yet, I would dump that ISP and get one that doesn't make you jump through crap like PPPoE. :-)

I would love to dump this isp BUT they are the only game in town and they know it.

OK I left everything download and install then rebooted UT. Reconfigured external interface for PPPoE and DynDNS and internet is back up for clients. Now again the box connects to store.untangle.com but nothing comes back. It must be my DNS settings. Something with my hostname setup?

Do you have internal dns server with forward to internet DNS?
If yes, set the dns of the UT box to resolve to the internal DNS.

Is the internal dns server turned on by default? I have a dynamic ip from my ISP so I use DynDNS to be able to reach my server from the internet. Do I need to have the internal DNS server set up? I just noticed it is enabled, is that due to me setting up my DynDNS?

No, I ask you if you have some basic network infraestructure in yor network: Windows or Linux server with DHCP, DNS, etc.
One thing is a internal DNS, other thing is the ISP DNS, and other is Dyndns, each one have their own function.

The UT box is the only server or router in the network at this time. I ran 'tail -f /var/log/uvm/apt.log' and I get 'Conflicting distribution: http://updates.untangle.com stable release (expected stable but got zonda-1)
