    Default zsh: command not found: jnettop

    perhaps i am doing something wrong, but i just enabled SSH to do some monitoring with jnettop and when i try to run


    jnettop -i eth1 i get that message

    try iftop . jnettop is removed on newer versions ( fresh install ).

    How can i sort it by TX , i see 1,2,3 and sort by columns...

    also, my PuTTy seems to be highlighting some words and IP's.....see screenshot...

    is it supposed to do that do you know?

    Yes, jnettop was replaced by iftop...

    I'm not entirely happy with the change. You can't swap interfaces with iftop without restarting the tool.

    interesting why they would leave something like that out, it isnt too bad for me, but i do have 2 interfaces so i guess i will have 2 iftop windows open now.

    Especially since jnettop was supposed to get an external GUI option in the next release...

    next release? It hasn't been updated since May 2006. :-) Might be waiting a while for that next release.

    That's may of 2007 actually, and the debian repositories aren't running the most recent release anyway. Current is 0.13.0 which has the GUI part working.

    But still that does answer the question, we don't have any debian maintainers keeping up the project. And development appears to have halted. So, cry about it later and switch packages.

    I'll adjust. iftop is usable, and it has its own strengths. It's just different.

    Of course iftop hasn't been updated since 2008 so is it any better?
