Default Unable to log in after upgrade to 9.01

    Hello.

We had a rare long weekend this week and I decided to finally upgrade our Untangle installation from 7.2 to 9.01. After rebooting I ran into a curious problem.

When I try to log on through https I get the Welcome to Untangle wizard. This is probably not the expected behavior? When I tried to complete it It will not let me enter password for admin, so i can not proceed. And whatever link I will use, I will still get this wizard.

I then went to the machine and tried to log on locally, same thing. Finally I managed to find a link that leads me to usual login screen where I could log in. All the settings seem to be intact and everything seems to run as it should. But when I looked at the administration settings I noticed there were a new "admin" account (I had renamed the original admin account). Whatever I do, I can not change anything about this new admin account. It will just give me a Java error.

    Any ideas, someone?

ps. Fortunately I made a disk image with Clonezilla before upgrading so I could re-image the machine if need be.

That upgrade is a long way, and also includes a new DB version. Some glitches with the upgrade are to be expected.

However, getting the first boot wizard makes no sense to me. And then magically a bit later you get the normal stuff?

Yes. It's like the upgrade have not replaced some of the components and instead added new and now they are doubled. That probably does not make any sense. It's pretty strange anyway.

Another thought I have is that, If no one has any idea what's it about, and if I manage to log on locally again, I will export all the firewall rules, settings etc. and do a clean install instead of re-imaging the machine to old version.

Duplicate modules show up from time to time, the extras just need removed.

Exclamation Looks like I have one that has failed to upgrade correctly

One of my clients Untangles looks to have attempted to upgrade to 9.x over the weekend but it hasn't done it properly it also dumped the Licenses and wants to run the setup wizard again wtf!!

The build number is also missing in System Info

    Anyone else seen this?

Unfortunately I'm located in Perth Australia so support is unavailable for another 10 hours since it is currently 8pm pacific time.

Also cannot access the config page internally on http but can only get to it using https though must specify https://ip.add.re.ss/auth/login?url=...=Administrator
otherwise it trys to run the setup wizard again.

It is worse than 10 hours. Monday is a holiday. Probably do a clean install if it was me.

You're in worse shape than that! You're expecting support to open normal hours on Monday morning Pacific time. Except, Monday is July 4th, US Independence day... and I doubt UT support will be online.

And it's late, I'm being an echo... ignore me!
