    Default DHCP configuration

    I just installed and configured my untangle box, everything is working perfectly except enabling the DHCP server to serve IPs to my LAN, anybody has the exact configuration steps please??

    Thank you very much

    config -> networking -> dhcp

    tick the box..

    If you used the router mode option during setup it's on by default.

    thank you very much, i tried that before but it did not work.
    i have tow network cards, the external one is configured with a public IP, i need the DHCP to work on the LAN card for the local network.
    Do i need to do any extra steps ???
    Thank you again.

    No, it simply works. If a fresh installation following the router mode option during first boot doesn't have working DHCP you either have:

    1.) a defective NIC being used for Internal
    2.) a defective patch cable connecting internal to your LAN switch
    3.) a defective LAN switch
    4.) some other crazy hardware problem.
