    Further info...

Had an empty rack, everything seems calm; soon as I install/enable web filter lite it goes haywire...

so disable webfilter for a bit, enable and it stays on low... nothing configured in it, just standard

just added reporting, machine dies in a new york minute... literally so slow i cannot log into console directly on the box...

if you installed 9.1.1 there's no point in running that patch.

    Yeah, people please remember this:

    Untangle patches are version specific

Untangle patches written for 9.1, are not to be executed on Untangle 9.1.1. Just like you don't run a patch from 5.2 on 9.1.1. If you run a patch for the wrong version on your Untangle you're asking to brick your box.

    Please don't do that.

Hi, I am having the same CPU going in red after 9.1.1 update. I have not tried the mentioned script and/or patch since we have on this box the last update available. The box is x64 bit software based, and it has a solid Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz and 4 Gb of RAM. This has only happened after 9.1.1 update. What can be the solution? The top command says that the java process is taking up to 150% sometimes, don't understand how if it is based on % it shows more than 100.

    Hi,

Check to see if Tarpit is enabled. Its under the Spam Filter, SMTP, advanced settings. I think (still testing) that something in the upgrades unchecks this and the result is that the SPAM filter spends time on messages it shouldn't and the result is High CPU and network throughput lock. Given that most of the messages my boxes receive (upwards of 80%) should be blocked, when you don't do the block - you use up the CPU cycles.

Thanks Ron, but no Spam Blocker Lite, or Spam Blocker installed on this box. It must be something regarding the database drop of info or something like that. This box was found with the HHD full from one day to another, even before the 9.1.1 version got through. Support team applied some captive portal patches and it was fixed, but something must have been damaged, since the last update is over processing the box.

Can someone put the patch here? After having run fine all day on Friday, not monitoring on the weekend, the system just died again (10.25am)... Bounce the box, up and away it goes merrily on it's way...
