Sorry for the necro bump, but this is exactly the problem I'm having.
I'm trying to install Untangle 11.1.0 onto a Supermicro 5018A-FTN4. It has 8GB of RAM, a 120GB SSD, and an Intel Atom C2758, and it fails installation at "Select and install software."
Trying to proceed and skip that step results in failure as well.
Is it because there's no kernel for my mobo/CPU setup? If so does that mean I'll have to use different hardware?
If Debian fails to install on your platform then the Untangle software has no hope of running. There is no skipping steps.

I managed to get Untangle to install.
I unplugged devices using the USB 3.0 port, and I used a USB 2 stick instead of a USB 3.0 as the installation media.
Disabling USB 3 in BIOS may help as well, but I don't think I did that.
