Question New installation failure - help - untangle installation step failed

    Hello
I am a new user in untangle
    I downloaded the installation file
    And burn it to disc

    I started to install
    After 20 minutes
    Installation stopped
    And I got a message

    Code:
    untangle installation step failed
Select and install software - step failed
    Then say
    I can skip this part
And try to install again later or similar formulation

I searched on Google this mishap
And I saw that it could be two things
    Disc burning speed high
    And defective memories

    I changed the memories
    Still the same result

    My disc burner
    CD burner speed is x8
    Minimum

    i Burn a disk
    Slowest as possible x8
    And there is no change

I still get the same message

how can i fix this (if i can) ??

    What is the difference between
    NG Firewall
    and
    IC Control

What hardware are you installing on? Have you tried the USB image option?

an installation step failed. you can try to run the failing item againfrom the menu, o skip it and

just try to skip this step
    and Continue with
    Code:
install the grub boot loader on a hard disk
    it also didnt work
    i got
    Code:
    grub installation failed
the 'grub' package failed to install into /target/. without the grub boot loader, the installed
    system will not boot.

It will be very limited on what it can do with 1/2 gig of memory.

That particular installation step likes to fail when the installer can't find a kernel that matches your CPU. 512mb is also way too light for Untangle. You need 1gb to run at all, 2 to be sane.

As for the rest, if you're trying the 64bit, I suggest you fall back to 32bit.
