    Default Best way to upgrade from 9.x to latest version

    Hi.
    I'd like to know wich is the best way to upgrade from 9.x working installation to the latest 12 version.

    We did a webinar some time ago. Any upgrade from 9 requires a clean install.

    The best way is to throw away 9.x and start over.

    And I mean it, the thought process of the way Untangle works is so different now that you have to re-imagine everything, and if you try to just move settings, you're going to have issues.

    Just make a list of critical functionality, and configure a fresh box. When you're ready, swap them.

    Method I have been using:

    Download OVA and run locally.
    Move manually all settings from Old UT to New Virtual UT.
    When all Settings are moved and verified I create a backup from the Virtual UT.
    Power off the old UT and insert a new drive (so I can roll back) then use the backup file to restore and move licenses to the new UID.
