Default 13.0 Upgrade has killed my Untangle

Upgraded to 13.0 yesterday and immediately lost
    - Access to my apps (see screenshot)
    - VPN access (just get error message 'connect failed')

Also, the new interface seems to be buggy as some icons are missing (see screenshot) and I keep getting the error message 'Exception! Message: cannot read property 'getSettings' of null'

Any idea how to quickly fix these issues, or how to get back to the last version?

    Thanks.

    Hey,

I decided to restart our Firewall whilst, shift change for nights, and ours has done the same thing!
The skin had been changed UI looked buggy(same 2 icons missing from config) and some errors were popping up.

Looks like apps are either not running or arn't visible.
Actually they can't be running because too much RAM is free
    6.01 GB
    5.3% used
    320.08 MB
    free 94.7%
    5.69 GB

*/webui helped me navigate to restore settings from file

    So just trying that now

    Any luck?

Update: Same situation. Is there anyway to force reinstall the update?

    Build Number reads:
    Build: 12.2.0~vcs20170109T115734.0abf809.release12.2-1jessie

is this not meant to be 13?

It appears it was restarted during upgrade. I would open a support ticket if you have support. Otherwise, you might have to re-install 12.2 and restore the backup config.

Downloading untangle 13 now to reinstall and restore the config.

Update: before I went to do a full wipe and reinstall. On the actual desktop UI under recovery utilities there is an option fix halted upgrade I've done that and have now selected upgrade, straight after and it seems to be trying to run the upgrade again. Will update if it works.

    FIX

Update: Managed to recover, without a full wipe and reinstall.
    Steps taken in order:
On your servers desktop-> recovery utilities-> upgrade-> fix halted upgrade
    Then -> resume halted upgrade
Lastly -> Upgrade, Reboot (mine looped once) then started normal.
Icons, widget and apps are there UI so far looks normal. Just about to test if everything is functional.
Haven't even see these options under recovery upgrade, glad I found them though!
    Thanks

I think this could have saved me several hours and heartache if this option was available 30-45 days ago when we had a power outage *after* my box had been put on the 13.0 priority upgrade list, but before the upgrade had started. It was a big mess. Support worked on it and after the fact we all agreed that the entire fiasco may have been prevented if UT didn't try to install packages from the newer version repos before the upgrade grade has actually been initiated.

Considering this is an utm with a full operating system if you had this machine on a UPS the power outage would not have been able to cause this kind of chaos. All firewalls deployed by my company are tied to ups units as well at the time of install.

Why do you assume I didn't have it protected by a UPS?

I didn't have mine protected by a UPS, maybe that's something I should think of implementing. Although there was no power cut here, it was on 226 days+ of uptime, I updated, 4 hours later restarted at our quiet period. Then it appeared it had only half updated which caused the exact same symptoms as the OP.

Great feature though the - recovery utilities on the desktop. I hardly use the desktop of the physical computer, generally I deal with everything remotely so almost completely missed it.

@markbebout, Did you manage to resolve the issue? curious.

You should back it up with the UPS. The Postgres database can get screwed up in a power outage, and leave your system unusable, or causing some data loss. I think there are plenty of threads in these forums about people who experienced this in a power outage.
