Default WRT1900ACS V2 and the Virus Blocker Lite app?

Since our town is rolling out fiber I'm helping some neighbors with getting a better setup to handle the speeds coming from DSL.

They also want Web Filtering and such so I'm steering them towards Untangle. For those that are only going with the 250/50 plan the WRT1900ACS seems like a great fit so I bought one to test with.

When I go to Manage Polices it appears that I can install the Lite version of the app but then it says that it won't work with the current architecture (I assume CPU). I don't see it as an option when I go to the standard Install Apps button at the top of Policy Manager though.

I'm guessing that the apps that aren't in the normal Install Apps screen aren't actually available on the WRT correct?

Support for that platform has been terminated, you shouldn't be looking to it at all for anything new.

    Well that sucks!

It would have been great if they would have updated their Wiki for it then reflecting that news so that I wouldn't have spent $100 on that router for nothing

IPS and Virus Blocker Lite are not available on the Linksys builds of Untangle mainly due to the small memory available on Linksys. Also, Linksys is not supported as of build v14.0.1

Would you go update your Wiki so that other people don't waste money like I did? It's the first result that comes up in Google and mentions nothing about being deprecated.

Sorry about the misinformation. I've created a task for the web devs.

    Thank you.

Will there be any way to know when the system is no longer getting signature updates besides just looking every so often on the interface?

I would check here in the forums for any announcements related to signature updates.

It still gets signature updates, it just won't support new versions (14.1+)
