Backup and Restore-Upgrade to 64 bit

I'm finally ready to tackle the upgrade to 64 bit. I've downloaded the 16.1.1 ISO and used RUFUS to create the bootable USB drive. I backed up my config file to my PC and then copied that file to the USB drive in its own subdirectory. Will I have any issues restoring from a 32 bit backup? I plan to use the "1. Restore all settings" option because I have a lot of network settings I want restored.

I'm hoping this goes smoothly. My expectation is that I should be able to just power down, put the USB drive in, power up and then answer a few questions and then perform the restore. Am I missing something?

There is no 32bit backup, it's just a backup.

And no... you do not perform a restore on the physical console. There is no reading it off a thumb drive directly. You need to bring the new install up, configure a NIC just enough to get access to the thing via a real browser on a laptop or something, and restore from there.

It's all easy... First time you run through it should take perhaps an hour. After you've got your head around it you spend most of your time waiting for files to copy off the USB stick.

The UID is different on the new install. Did you add the new UID to your account? Also, you need to transfer the license from the old UID to the new one.

Not sure. I vaguely remember it telling me the license transferred when I logged in during the installation. Can you post links to how to add the UiD to my account nd how to add the license? Thanks
